Independent Ukrainian news website
Texty.org.ua has specialised in making data journalism stories from the ongoing war in the country. Meet editor in chief Roman Kulchynsky, NLP specialist Nataliia Romanyshyn and datajournalist Yevheniia Drozdova.
They have this goal for the readers: Understand the essence of things, pay attention to the main thing and explain what is really happening.
Through data journalism they focus on the crimes of the Russian army in Ukraine, reveal the techniques of Russian propaganda, write about how Ukraine fights. They value high-quality texts, know how to work with data and pay a lot of attention to design.
In this session they are also joined by Ukrainian journalist Pavlo Krasnomovets, who was editor of Forbes Ukraine when Russia's full scale invasion of his homeland started in 2022. Now he is in exile in Norway and works for Aftenposten.
